Description: Born out of Kyoto’s late-70s musical underground (if you believe the story), ハチ公 was a short-lived but stylish outfit blending early City Pop, jazz fusion, and laid-back funk into shimmering grooves and emotional coolness.
This debut single pairs two tracks cut from the same perfectly tailored fabric:
Sassy Lady — a smooth, confident anthem about a woman who doesn’t need attention, but knows how to enjoy it when it comes. Cool, collected, irresistible.
Sunshine Strut — her summer stroll soundtrack. A walking groove. A brass-tinted breeze. Funky, carefree, and full of flair.

Originally recorded a long time ago, these tracks wear their influences proudly: Kadomatsu, Takanaka, Casiopeia, and Takeuchi all ripple through the tape, filtered through a fictional past that somehow feels more real with every listen.
