About:

Artist: ハチ公 (Hachiko)
Active since: 1976

Description: Hachiko is a collective of eight musicians united by a shared love of melody, groove, and exploration.

Drawing inspiration from city pop, jazz fusion, funk, rock, folk, and electronic music, the band embraces the idea that great songs can come from anywhere.
Every member brings their own influences, personality, and musical language to the table, creating a sound that is both diverse and unmistakably their own.

In Hachiko, no genre is off limits.

A song may begin as a gentle acoustic sketch, a synthesizer experiment, a bass groove, or a guitar riff.
What matters is not where the idea comes from, but where it can go when eight creative minds begin shaping it together.
Rather than seeking uniformity, the band celebrates its differences. Each member contributes a unique voice, and it is precisely this mixture of styles and perspectives that gives Hachiko its character.
The contrasts do not divide the music—they strengthen it.

Whether performing sun-soaked fusion, nostalgic city pop, energetic rock, or something that falls between the cracks of all three, Hachiko remains guided by the same principle:

Follow the song.
Everything else will find its place.
